In Kintamani, Bali, Algebra Bio, in collaboration with major Indonesian distributor APM (PT. ANUGERAH PANJI MANDIRI), has been conducting a valuable technical roadshow for local Balinese layer farmers.
The focus was on raising awareness about mycotoxins and guiding farmers on selecting effective mycotoxin binder solutions. Mycotoxins pose significant threats to poultry health and performance and Algebra Bio introduced two key products derived in Australia to address these challenges:
Xpel: A unique Algae Derived Broad Spectrum Mycotoxin Binder. It contains high quality diatomite from Melosira Granulata, a diatom species with a cylindrical shape and high porosity. Xpel offers a powerful way to control mycotoxins in feed, protecting animals from mycotoxicosis. Its benefits include binding mycotoxins, reducing wet litter, cutting internal parasites, improving feed efficiency, and enhancing animal health. Derived from an Australian source of rare freshwater fossilized algae, it has a wider range of benefits than traditional clay-based products.
Xpel Spectra: A combination of yeast fractions, clinoptilolite, and fossilized algae. It effectively manages a broad spectrum of mycotoxins in feed, safeguarding animals. Beyond mycotoxin binding, it boosts gut health and digestive tract integrity, leading to better animal health, performance, and returns to the farmers. With a balanced three - way approach – specific mycotoxin adsorption, immunity enhancement, and gut health benefits – it tackles even the most challenging mycotoxin threats across species.
The large audiences of local farmers showed great interest and enthusiasm, raising issues pertaining to the livestock industry in Bali and posing many questions about mycotoxin related challenges. It was, for many, the first comprehensive education on how mycotoxins impact chicken performance. Another challenge, the impact of pesticide residues in feed, was also discussed and the role that Xpel can fill in binding these harmful and productivity impacting residues.
This initiative by Algebra Bio and APM is set to help Bali's layer farms improve poultry health and productivity, ensuring a more sustainable and profitable future.
